Uzbekistan is entering the last quarter of 2026 with notable developments in infrastructure, foreign trade, agriculture, energy and logistics.

Foreign trade: $57.4 billion

According to the National Statistics Committee, foreign trade in January–August rose 7.6% to $57.4 billion: imports reached $34.53 billion (+16.3%) and exports $22.86 billion (−3.4%). Machinery and equipment imports totalled $11.26 billion and food imports grew 39.3%. Trade with Türkiye amounted to about $1.93 billion.

Infrastructure and energy

The government and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) signed a 2026–2029 programme with potential financing of up to $5 billion, plus a $1.5 million grant to prepare power-grid resilience projects. The country aims to raise the share of renewables in power generation to 54% by 2030.

Logistics, construction and inflation

Seventeen logistics hub projects are under way on a total of 739 hectares. The property market recorded 74,400 transactions in the second quarter, and mortgage lending grew 48% year on year. Annual inflation stood at 6.4% in September.

Together these trends create new partnership opportunities for Turkish companies in energy equipment, building materials, agri-tech and logistics.
